Dr. Behnam Myers, DO MPH is a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He has successfully completed his training in orthopedics and has obtained advanced training in spinal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic- Weston, FL. He is a clinical instructor and trains residents in this field at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Behnam Myers, DO MPH is trained in the latest minimally invasive spine surgeries including the use of endoscopic spine surgery. He offers treatment of degenerative spine, spinal deformity, trauma, tumor, infection, as well as cervical disc replacement and lumbar disc replacement. STEVEN LASSER, MD BOARD CERTIFIED ORTHOPEDIC SPINE SURGEON
Dr. Lasser graduated from The University of Rochester school of Medicine in 1982. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Buffalo followed by a fellowship in spinal surgery at the University of Texas at Houston, in addition to a fellowship in biomechanics.
He served as the President of the Ontario County Medical Society for over 10 years in addition to serving as President of Medical Staff, Chief of Staff, and Chairman of the Department of Surgery for Geneva General Hospital.
Dr. Lasser focuses not just on spine surgery, but on the conservative management of patients with spinal issues.
Surgically, Dr. Lasser has completed nearly 6,500 spinal operations, many of which were spinal fusion procedures. He has a wide variety of surgical experience in treating degenerative diseases, disk herniation, recurrent issues, and trauma.
Mara Myers earned her RN degree 2002 at UF- Shands Hospital-Gainesville. Mara quickly became Charge Nurse for Jackson North Emergency department and later was recognized and recruited to Ryder Trauma center, Florida’s only free standing trauma center. Today she is part of the Spine Solutions team alongside her husband Dr. Behnam Myers, DO MPH. “I believe that our spine practice should never lose its personal touch..therefor I give my direct cell phone number for any questions you may have before and after your procedure. So I can give you the benefit of my extensive nursing background should you have a question”.
Gabriella Angulo graduated from Florida International University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2005. Gabriella has completed over 1000 clinical hours to include Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, and Trauma.
Gabriella has also completed her certification as an ARNP Surgical First Assistant in 2007. She completed over 3000 hours of surgical cases working with Ortho Hand Trauma at Jackson Memorial with Dr. Elizabeth Ann Ouellette.
Gabriella is also proud to have served her country with seventeen years of service in the United States Army Nurse Corp, where she was deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom. She worked in the Trauma ICU and Burn Unit, Neonatal Ward, Medical Ward, Surgical Ward, and Emergency Department. During her service, Gabriella was also a member of the Institute of Surgical Research Burn Unit in San Antonio, Texas and worked with FAST team training at Jackson Trauma Center in Miami, Florida.
Erika Leo is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who received her degree as a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Miami with a Master’s of Science in Family Nurse Practice. Erika’s Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) clinical specialty training in breast oncology, pain management, GYN, pediatrics, and non-operative sports medicine augment her prior reconstructive surgery and general OR experience. Erika has over five years of experience working with cancer and cosmetic patients in the clinical and surgical setting of a plastics and reconstruction center specializing in breast, skin, and head and neck reconstruction. Beyond this, Erika also has over ten years of experience as a registered nurse providing intraoperative care for pediatric and adult patients in various trauma and outpatient surgical settings.
